In a last minute decision, 6 slightly mad club members decided it would be a good idea to take part in the annual New Years' Day swim in New Quay which was to raise money for Macmillan. The crowd began to descend on the beach by 10.30 with the swim scheduled for 11am. Nervously they all got ready to run into the cold winter sea and with a countdown from our very own Nigel, off they ran screaming! There wasn't much swimmming being demonstrated by the members - mainly shocked bodies only capable of paddling and treading water!! Again more running ensued but this time it was out of the water towards towels, warm clothing and a stiff drink!
A massive well done to everyone who took part - definately do it again next year ;)
